A mythical scene

The pretty coastal town of Swanage offers visitors many points of interest. Walk the South West Coast Path and admire the Old Harry Rocks, wreathed in myth and folklore on the most easterly point of the Jurassic Coast or experience a unique steam train journey from Swanage Railway through six miles of beautiful scenery passing the magnificent ruins of the National Trust’s Corfe Castle, the ‘battle-scarred survivor of a turbulent past’, down to the Blue Flag beach.

Back in the town centre, enjoy the gardens, parks and pier for leisurely wanderings or hop on the ferry at Shell Bay to cross the water to Sandbanks. Then finish your day the traditional way with a portion of fish and chips on the white sand beach or discover some of the great cafes, restaurants and pubs that Swanage has to offer.
