Escape to the country with a stay in this idyllic location, accessed via a private drive through a working farm and surrounded by open farmland. Immerse yourself in the serenity of the surrounding fields, Macmillan Way and cycle paths or embark on a short car journey to explore the area. A great base for touring the region and just 2 miles away lies the village of Maiden Newton, boasting a good range of local amenities. For a captivating coastal experience, head to the ever-popular Jurassic Coast (7 miles). Prepare to be spoiled for choice with a myriad of attractions within easy reach, including Dorchester, Abbotsbury with its Swannery and gardens, Forde Abbey, Lyme Regis and Durdle Door. Plus Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World, Fleet Air Arm Museum are all within easy reach. A visit to Weymouth and Portland is a must, where you can explore the rich maritime history, browse the shops or spend time on the award winning Blue Flag beach.

Part of a complex of 4 adjoining properties, this 18th century flint and stone barn conversion sits at the end of a long drive, unmade in places and surrounded by rolling countryside. The entrance door opens into a welcoming hallway with a separate WC and the kitchen on your right, which has a large window that floods the room with natural light. Next is an inviting open plan lounge/diner with comfortable seating arranged around the wood burner and Smart TV so you can enjoy a cosy night in. The dining table is just opposite and perfect for leisurely meals or board games. Heading upstairs, you'll find the three bedrooms and the bathroom, which complete this comfortable accommodation.

French doors lead from the lounge to a private patio with furniture and a charcoal BBQ, ideal for al fresco meals. There is an open lawn, screened in part with hedging, which is the perfect place to sit back and relax whilst you listen to birdsong. A shared games room sits at the end of the row of properties, furnished with a 3 in one table (pool/table tennis and air hockey) plus a dart board.

A lovely warm welcoming cottage, very clean with everything we needed for our week. It's location was central to all the areas we wanted to visit. The wildlife we saw on the doorstep was wonderful. The owners were so kind and generous, so will to help if needed. We would highly recommend this property. Thank you for a lovely week.

This is the wonderful place to stay, situated in a lovely quiet part of Dorset with fields & nature all around. Mole Cottage is perfectly furnished, beautifully clean & very well equipped with eveything you need. Wonderful cottage that was very well equipped with everything we needed. Incredibly clean and well maintained. Gardens well manicured and lovely to wander around. Wifi was very good indeed, which makes a change! Owners very helpful and had thought of everything. Highly recommend

We loved our stay at Mole Cottage, it is a beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location and done out really well. It's also the cleanest place I have ever stayed! Really helpful that we could charge our car there and also the games room with washing machines and tumble dryer. An amazing place with amazing views. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The games room is an added bonus with darts, games table, board games and jigsaws. Good access to A roads and within easy reach of major towns, shops and seaside. Lots of space outside to play football, BBQ and walk.

We rented both Fox and Mole cottages and our stay was nothing short of phenomenal! From the fabulously well stocked game room, to the welcoming accommodation and the most fantastic and helpful owners, we couldn't have hoped for better - and we are a family that is used to renting holiday apartments! Lovely cottage on a very quiet unique location on the countryside. The surrounding is magnificent with cows and sheep grazing along the pathways. Deers, badgers and other wildlife can be spotted easily when you take a walk in the surrounding fields.
