A former post office, this characterful building has been lovingly updated to provide all the conveniences of modern living and is set in a fantastic central position within a charming Dorset village.

Surrounded by picturesque countryside, this charming Dorset village is the perfect base for taking long walks or riding. The village itself has a vibrant hub, complete with pub, galleries and tea rooms and being situated near to the market town of Bridport, there is no shortage of things to do here. Bridport has an eclectic selection of shops, selling both essential supplies and vintage curios or why not take a trip to West Bay, where you can watch the boats bobbing in the harbour or stroll along the swathes of beach. Ideally situated for touring you can easily spend your days exploring the many attractions lining the Jurassic Coast and admire the stunning scenery along the way.

A private gravel driveway leads to this detached cottage. As is the country way, the main entrance can be found to the rear of the property, accessed via a paved path. Once inside you are met with an entrance hallway leading to a utility room with washer/dryer and just next door is a useful WC. Next you will come to the charming country style kitchen/diner with wood burner. This well-equipped space has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Heading through a doorway brings you into the cosy lounge. Full of character features, this welcoming room has an open fire and TV for those chilly winter evenings in. When the day is done, take the stairs to the first floor where you can choose from two spacious super-king-size zip-and-link bedrooms (one with TV and both can be arranged as a twin on request). There is also a cosy single on offer here. Completing the accommodation is a stylish bathroom, with bath, separate shower and WC.

Heading outside brings you into the pretty garden which wraps around the property. Here you can enjoy a meal or drinks at the table, while younger members of the family will enjoy a bounce on the trampoline. Ample off-road parking is available on the private driveway.

Very comfortable cottage , high quality linen and we loved the wool throws as the nights got chilly .
