This area is renowned for its network of walks through the picturesque countryside with Pilsdon Pen, Ham Hill and The Cerne Abbas Giant all within easy reach. The dining area overlooks the pretty garden and is a perfect spot for relaxed meals for four, plus there is also an additional sleeping area with a double bed tucked into the corner of this room, which can be partially screened off. Heading back into the hallway you will find a shower room with shower and WC and the galley kitchen. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Heading upstairs to the first floor, you can take time to unwind together in the second lounge area, where you can curl up and watch a film on the TV/DVD. Just next door is a charming double bedroom, with lovely garden views and a light and bright ambience.

Heading outside you will find a small terrace to the front of the cottage, which has garden furniture and views over the pretty cottage garden which is shared with the owners. Guests also have use of their own small private enclosed area of the garden next to the cottage with BBQ, outdoor seating and a cosy shed with sofa (available to use between Easter and the end of October) offering a peaceful outlook. Off-road parking for one car is available to the side of the cottage, with a further parking space on the village lane (subject to availability).

A lovely, quirky, considerately equipped little cottage: ideal for a couple who fall out easily - a downstairs sitting room, bed and television and an upstairs sitting room, bed and television. A lovely, well equipped and comfortable cottage in a very pretty village. Well situated near Beaminster and within easy reach of both countryside and coast. The owners were very welcoming and gave us some great advice on suitable places for dog walks and day trips. I would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return soon.

Overall, it was disappointing, the cottage was not particularly clean and there were several items needing maintenance. Most disappointing of all was not being told before arrival that the decking and summer house were out of bounds (due to the decking being rotten), this was a particular selling point for us as it would have allowed us to keep ourRead more young dogs under control when outside without having to keep them on leads. This is far and away the best cottage we have ever stayed in. Lovely cottage in a beautiful area of Dorset. Very comfortable with all you need for a great holiday. Our only concern was with the garden which is very steep set up in terraces with a stream at the bottom. There were areas where our dog could get through so we felt unable to let him run free. Such a shame as it really was a lovely garden.

I found my stay at Heartsease cottage very comfortable and relaxing despite the dreary weather. The cottage is well equipped and the log fire so cozy on a cold, rainy day. The cottage is set within a lovely village with a good pub close by and lots of fresh air and country walks. I will be back.
