This property is ideally situated on the A31 and on the river in the village of Corfe Mullen which lies just six miles north of the harbour town of Poole. Poole, like its near neighbour, Bournemouth, is a popular destination for holidaymakers, offering a large number of attractions including boat trips to Brownsea Island, water sports in the harbour, a water park, and the beautiful beach in the well-heeled suburb of Sandbanks. Of course, there is also a good range of shops and eateries in the town, perfect for an afternoon of browsing or perhaps sampling the local seafood. For a change of scene, 5 miles west of the property, is Farmer Palmers Farm Park. This fantastic family-friendly attraction is a great way for children to get to know about farm life, meet the animals, and also burn off some energy in the fun playgrounds. The area really does have something for everyone!

You will feel transported back in time as soon as you set foot in this Grade II listed property, with mystery and magic in every room. Upon entry you will be greeted with the large dining table, perfect for those large gatherings, enjoying a delicious meal, also within this room is the handy utility area with microwave, fridge, freezer, and washing machine are located. The dining room gives access to one of the most unusual and interesting rooms in the house, a games room, which not only offers a cinema area, air hockey, pool tables, and a dartboard, but also features the working water wheel, with access to an outside space to enjoy wonderful views over the back pond. From the dining room you will find the kitchen, with its beautifully handcrafted wooden units, a window seat, fitted dining area, a range oven and hob. The lounge is just a special with its exposed beams and fire place, along with a handy futon. There is also a WC on the ground floor, tucked away under the stairs. Stairs from the dining room will take you upstairs to the first of four bedrooms, a double which features a beautiful handcrafted four-poster bed, making it a wonderfully romantic place to sleep. There is also a bathroom with shower and WC. heading another flight of stairs leading to a loft, chill out room, with a secret door which leads to a cosy twin bedroom. Heading back downstairs through the chill out room. you will come across another two double bedrooms, one of which has a 4ft size double bed. The family bathroom with shower-over-bath and WC completes this floor. Guests should be aware that this is a period property, and as such has some low ceilings, high thresholds, steep stairs, and uneven floors.

The outside space is just as unique as the interior of this property, heading across a walkway over the river, you will find an island garden, with plenty of garden furniture and a BBQ which is accessed via a walkway across the river. The garden is a delightful space, but the fast-moving river and stream, as well as the ponds do mean that all visitors must pay special attention and that children should never be left unattended. Why not have a go at fishing, there are paddle boards available to use during your stay which can be found at the end of the garden, where access to the back pond can be found.

Made our Christmas so special! Amazing, quirky property! Bob & Dee were lovely hosts. Brilliant for dogs as there's a massive field/island connected to the back garden by a foot bridge where your dog can run off the lead. Renzo loved it! Would love to go back again if the opportunity arises! Thanks for an amazing week Bob & Dee

Wow, from beginning to end, so much space, the games room was great fun, the whole place was cosy and the owners were so welcoming. We had dogs with us and lots of walks to go on nearby. Would definitely love to stay again.

There was plenty of room. The games room and the films were well used by everyone. We had pool and darts competitions every night. The kayaks and paddle boards were an added bonus.

Bob and Dee were the kindest and most accommodating hosts we have ever come across, the cottage was beautiful but the garden and back field on the river were the real benefit. We used the games room most evenings to play pool, air hockey, darts and games which kept us amused along with the wide range of DVD's as it did rain a bit ! This is a perfecRead moret location to explore the Dorset coast as right on the A31 with a wonderful farm/butcher/fish monger down the road and a pub 2 doors down. Thank You Hide
