Set in the heart of the peaceful village of Corscombe, this stone-built property provides a spacious base for families wishing to tour this picturesque part of rural Dorset and across the border into Somerset. Sutton Bingham reservoir is only 4 miles northeast, which is the ideal spot to enjoy a picnic, fish, or try your hand at sailing. Within 14 miles you will find a wide range of attractions, including the charming village of Cerne Abbas with its famous hillside giant, foodie hotspot Beaminster, Bridport, West Bay, Abbotsbury, which is home to a swannery and subtropical gardens and the cobbled streets of Lyme Regis, where you can visit the historic cobb or wander around the shops and galleries.

A sloping drive and external steps lead to the door into this detached property. Once inside you are met with a welcoming entrance hall with the light and bright lounge on your right with a feature fireplace, complete with Smart TV and the sociable kitchen with a central island on your left. Set to the rear of the property is the dining room, which looks out over the garden, as well as the super-king-size bedroom, king-size bedroom and bathroom. Heading outside via the kitchen will take you into a side yard with access to the utility room. Set to the rear of the property is an expansive split-level garden with a patio immediately beside the property and established flower beds and lawn. The cottage is beautiful & spacious. Large kitchen is very well equipped. Fridge in kitchen & a fridge freezer in the out cupboard. We stayed over the Christmas period. We asked to confirm decoration. There was none on arrival. Sorted very week/promptly with cottage company. Rooms are light and clean. Plenty of space, wardrobes etc. Driveway is verRead morey steep. We were only given access to the back door, again dealt with promptly by company. Shower upstairs has less power but useable. Hide

A beautiful property, deceptively large, in fact like a tardis inside. Great to share with extended family and explore the local area. Large drive, bit of a tight entrance for bigger cars, but it got easier throughout the week. The view from the breakfast bar is amazing. Very well equipped, right down to plastic cups and plates for the little ones.Read more Close to West Bay & Lyme Regis for fossil hunting. Fleet air arm museum was great and we had some lovely pub meals out. Hide
