A thatched cottage with contemporary interiors, this home from home is just right for those looking to indulge in a solo break or romantic getaway.

Located just across the road from the Dorset Flapjack Company and less than 200 yards from a great local inn, you will be spoilt for choice for tasty treats throughout the day. Start your day with some freshly baked goodies and a hot cup of tea, before exploring the locale. 5 miles from Lulworth Cove, a trip to this iconic bay is a must. For an insight into local history, pay Lulworth Castle a visit too, also 5 miles away.

A picture-postcard property, this cottage is accessed via a short wooden bridge over a shallow stream. Step over the bridge and along the garden pathway through the shared front garden and cross the threshold into your dream getaway. Leaving your boots and coats in the flagstone hallway, you can then enter the bright and airy lounge/diner. Here, a sofa for two and an armchair invite you to rest your legs. A TV/DVD player adds an extra option for evening entertainment, whilst the coal-effect electric fire is a brilliant addition for chillier, winter evenings. Peppered with original features, the space manages to blend traditional charm with plenty of modern comforts. From the lounge you can access the property’s kitchen. Affording garden views and equipped with everything you could need, from oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, to washing machine and more, it is a pleasant space for both cooking and socialising. Heading upstairs you will come to the bathroom, including bath with overhead shower and WC. Also upstairs is the bedroom with slightly reduced head height in the eaves, complete with a double bed and TV.

To the front of the property, a shared garden with lawn looks over the pretty stream, home to many resident ducks. To the rear, a private garden with shared access has outside seating for al fresco feasts, as well as a water feature and a border of flowers and trees.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Although the cottage is joined to the owners, by the hallway, Mick and Jill, never intrude, just said to us on arrival to knock on their door if any help was needed. A lovely bakery, Spar shop/post office nearby to cottage.

This is a lovely home from home cottage. The owners are next door so any help or recommendations are readily available without being in your face. The village of Wool is really lovely and for a relaxing walking holiday with your dog it is ideal.

Ideal location for all the destinations with a wonderful pub and well stocked shop across the street. The stream was great for paddling feet both the furry kind and human kind! The cottage was cosy and comfy with well stocked utensils in the kitchen .

We did not find the settee and armchair very comfortable, but everything else was fine. Also, the location is excellent to visit places of interest without too much travelling. Very friendly locals and Mick was a mine of information.

The cottage was ideally located and provided us with everything that we required for our short 3 day stay. The heavy snow falls that we encountered whilst there made it even more picturesque. The cottage was very clean and very comfortable and provided all the amenities that we required. Purely as an observation there are 3 items that need to be atRead moretended to: 1) The shower has a very poor water flow, possibly requires the shower head to be descaled or replaced. 2) Bread knife in the kitchen drawer needs to be replaced as it is extremely blunt. 3) The pillows on the bed are extremely uncomfortable, I'm sure the majority of guests would prefer a softer pillow.
