The studio-style accommodation is light and bright with carefully chosen soft furnishings displaying a distinctly Scandinavian style.

This single-storey conversion is approached through a private entrance shared only with the owners at the end of a no-through road. The accommodation has a light and airy atmosphere and is located on the edge of the picture-postcard rural town of Beaminster. Conveniently set just off the main route from the town to the Jurassic coastline it is a perfect location for touring West Dorset. An easy walk along the footpath literally right outside your door takes you through to the town centre with its selection of restaurants, shops, pubs and tea rooms, which means you can forget the car and completely relax. The seaside town of West Bay is a short drive away and the county town of Dorchester, rich in history, is within 30 minutes' drive and offers a wide range of restaurants, shops and pubs.

Stepping into the accommodation, you will find the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining and sleeping area. The compact kitchen area is equipped with a combination microwave oven, fridge with ice compartment and toaster for creating simple meals while away. Dine at the table nearby that overlooks the garden through French doors before snuggling up on the comfortable sofa beyond for a romantic night in front of the flame effect electric wood burner and TV. In the sleeping area is a king-size bed, which can be made into a twin on request, together with a separate shower room with WC.

Heading outside, an enclosed gravelled garden is bordered by mature trees and shrubs. This is a peaceful and private space for enjoying al fresco BBQs while relaxing on the outdoor seating and listening out for birdsong in the trees above.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Oh my! Our first break away and it could not of been a more peacefull, content getaway, we felt safe and privacy was just what we required . Beautifull location, friendly residents, and you are left to your on devices as much as it was your own holiday home. We just cant wait to return, thank you so much

Lovely little lodge with mainly enclosed garden. Area ideal for walking dog. Lovely beaches only a short drive out.

Had a lovely stay at the South Lodge. Had everything we needed for our holiday. We had the possibility to cook but also to go out in Beaminster for something else. There was information in the lodge about places nearby, very usefull! The only downside was that we did not have the option to remove stones and dirt from the lodge entrance. We had no pRead morelace to clean our muddy shoes or to put them somewhere to dry without taking all the dirt inside. A broom would be usefull! Hide
