Set within the grounds of the owners’ home on the edge of an idyllic village, this property offers a taste of English rural life. Set out on foot to visit the village’s impressive medieval church or take to the nearby footpaths that intersect the beautiful Somerset countryside. For those in search of some local history several National Trust properties including Montacute, Stourhead, Kingston Lacey and Barrington Court are within easy reach. Other nearby attractions include Longleat Safari Park, the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum and only slightly further afield Cheddar Gorge, Lyme Regis and the beaches at Weymouth and Lulworth Cove.
Inside, the accommodation is bright and well laid out to make the most of the space available. Prepare delicious meals in the modern, clean and well-equipped kitchen, where you will find an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and many useful extras. The lounge/diner is cosy and welcoming with a dining table, TV/DVD and hi-fi for relaxing evenings in after a long day. The double bedroom is spacious and bright with large fitted wardrobes and an en-suite shower room. If you wish to do laundry during your stay, guests have use of the adjacent laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Step outside to find a sunny patio area to the front of the property, where there is a bistro style table and chairs for enjoying al fresco meals and drinks. There is also a large shared enclosed garden area with a large pond with a waterfall. The owner's horse, sheep, dogs and cats live in harmony and guest's well behaved dogs are very welcome.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
