Enjoying a peaceful countryside location in the picturesque village of Chideock, this lovely barn conversion boasts space, comfort and is in a great location being sandwiched between country and coast.

With a footpath across the fields to the South West Coast Path and Seatown beach, this property enjoys excellent access to local amenities and beauty spots. Walk under a mile to the nearby shingle beach and inhale revitalising lungfuls of salty, sea air. No trip to the area would be complete without visiting the stunning Golden Cap, 2 miles away. Only 0.5 miles inland, the local thatched pub is worth a visit, too, for a drink in the sunny beer garden or hot meal by the fire. For the best of culture and coast, drive 7.5 miles to Lyme Regis, the ‘Pearl of Dorset’, to wander past colourful beach huts and visit the town’s many beaches.

The middle property in a row of three, this delightful barn conversion is set amongst former farm buildings and boasts delightful countryside views towards the coastline. Providing ample space, privacy and style, every aspect of the property’s interior has been carefully thought out. Step into the entrance hall and kick off your shoes. A small WC is located off the hallway, before you step through to the light and airy open-plan living area. A delightful open space, the lounge/kitchen/diner manages to have both a warm, cosy feel as well as plenty of room to spread out. Melt into one of the lounge’s cosy sofas and turn on the Smart TV or look out through the French doors onto the gravel terrace outside. In the winter, an electric effect wood burner provides a welcome addition, throwing a radiant glow across the room. Backing onto the lounge is the kitchen; a stylish, well-provisioned space which has everything you could need for your stay, including a breakfast bar and more. Amongst the many utensils and appliances, you will find an oven with electric hob, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a toaster and a kettle. A dishwasher is even provided for post-meal harmony. To complete the living area, a dining table sits to one side of the room, basking in light from the windows. Upstairs, many of the rooms enjoy fantastic countryside views. Home to three bedrooms, your guests can take their pick from a king-size bedroom which has TV/DVD, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom with a pull-out bed stored below (on request at time of booking). Also upstairs is the family bathroom, including a bath with a shower overhead, WC and a heated towel rail.

Stepping outside, there is a fenced gravel garden to the rear where you can make use of a sunny terrace and a BBQ. You can also feel free to explore the shared recreational lawns close by. Making life a little easier for groups, there is also dedicated parking available for two cars.

Beautiful cottage in an excellent location. Well equipped with everything you need. Our 2 spaniels loved the stroll to the beach which is only 15 min away. Local pub, the George Inn, is a 10 minute walk from the property and is dog friendly. The staff made a fuss of our 2 with treats. Would definitely recommend staying here. A real home from home.

Quiet holiday cottage and a nice natural environment. Close to Bridport for groceries and restaurants, to Lyme Regis and Charmouth for the beaches and Golden Cap for a great hike. The holiday cottage is specious, we (2 adults, 3 kids) enjoyed having 3 bedrooms. Fabulously clean, well-equipped and comfortable cottage. Beautiful location, and excellent for dog walks. Well positioned close to the coast and no road noise from the A35. Only issue was the occasional bangs from crow scarers, and only reason it was an issue is that we have a dog that is extremely scared of loud bangs. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Larch Barn, a real home from home. A peaceful location but only a 10 minute walk to Seaton beach where you can join the coast paths. Ideal if you have dogs as there are no roads to worry about. Would definitely return as there so many places to visit close by in this beautiful part of Dorset.

The thing we loved best about this holiday property was that it was true to the detail of it is in walking distance of the beach. Ten minutes and you are there, that is our main search for when we choose a holiday. Larch barn is situated in a quiet location, great for watching the night sky due to how dark it is there! The farm is really geared up Read morewell for their holiday barn rentals. Would highly recommend this place. The Anchor Pub at the beach does an amazing pie too. Hide

This is a very practical cottage in a great location as walkable to coast in 10 minutes. Seatown is a beautiful spot with less people than the other more busy areas. It was a great base for exploring the Jurassic coast & ideal for dogs too. Highly recommended - lovely barn conversion in one of the best locations in the country and a few mins walk from the beach. Have booked a number of times previously in summer and Christmas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Larch Barn. Liked the large open plan kitchen dining lounge area. Beautiful location and so nice to be able to walk to the beach and 3 great pubs. Nice enclosed garden a real sun trap and great for our dog. Would certainly consider a return visit.
