Very comfortable cottage with welcoming owners. Nice rustic farmhouse feel with sheep and a horse for neighbours. Absolutely charming cottage in a lovely location. Beautiful views of the fields and reservoir. Sadly it was too early in the year for al fresco breakfasts but the setting made up for the weather. Friendly yet unobtrusive hosts. Would definitely go again.

We loved staying in Hyde cottage, with pretty views all around, and very quiet. And with nice places around to visit, like East Coker and the Sutton Bingham reservoir, NT properties near Yeovil, etc. We hope to come back in the future, and would like to thank the hospitable owners for all their advice and help !

Had a fantastic two weeks here, weather was good too. Greeted each day by dogs, sheep and the horse, just great. You will not find nicer hosts, Mary and Bill cannot do enough for you. So quite and peaceful too. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. We would like to return some day.

A lovely characterful and unpretentious property. The private garden enjoys the sun most especially in the morning, but also has sun in the evening as well. Lovely views to the south-east and although the railway line is a stone's throw away, we found it endearing rather than intrusive. The stairs in the cottage, being authentic, are quite steep anRead mored might possibly be difficult for some. However upstairs is spacious and the view of the reservoir from the bathroom is lovely. The joy of our visit started with our arrival at Hyde Farm gate where our host was waiting to guide us in. The cottage, its situation, and level of comfort made it a superb place to chill or use as a centre for sightseeing; we did a bit of both. The garden gives unobstructed views over a field where we took great pleasure in watching 'Ronan' (adoptRead moreed stallion) socialise with a herd of sheep.
