Single-storey cottage enjoying a tranquil location in the beautiful mid-Dorset countryside, situated just eleven miles from the town of Dorchester and twenty miles from stunning Jurassic Coast.

This property is located in the stunning mid-Dorset countryside, mid-way between the towns of Sherborne and Dorchester. Dorchester is an interesting town, which not only offers a good range of shops and coffee shops, but also an unusual collection of museums, including a Tutankhamun museum, a Teddy Bear museum, and one that specialises in dinosaurs and fossils. Sherborne, meanwhile, has a different feel and boasts two castles, as well as a stunning Benedictine Abbey. Twenty miles south of the property lies the World Heritage Jurassic coast, a fossil-rich coastline with a wealth of beaches and seaside towns, including Weymouth which has a large sandy beach and a Sealife aquarium.

Guests arriving at this ground-floor property come directly to the light-filled lounge with its comfortable sofa and armchair, doors out to the patio, wood burner-effect electric fire, and TV/DVD. A door leads through to the kitchen/diner which has attractive exposed beams, and a dining table and is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washer/dryer. The bedroom is a pleasant twin room, close to which there is a wet room offering a shower and WC. Guests with dogs will be pleased to learn that there is a dog crate available for guests’ use on request, and it is possible to arrange dog sitting. Patio doors from the lounge lead out onto the patio garden which has a table and chairs and a BBQ, making it perfect for enjoying alfresco drinks or meals whilst gazing over the surrounding countryside. There is secure bike storage available, as well. There is also an outside tap which is handy for rinsing off muddy boots or paws.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Very very clean and well equipped in the kitchen. Lovely welcome pack and owners. Outside furniture a bit old and unfortunately due to farm not functioning rather unkempt buildings. Due to bad reception the TV and radio were rather temperamental but they worked. We had a lovely time and felt very relaxed in the cottage.

Do not judge a book by its cover, please remember that the cottage is in the middle of a farm.!! The cottage is ideal for two people, very well equipped, and comfortable. It is situated in the middle of the countryside, but within easy reach of lovely areas to explore, and places to visit.
