This spacious converted barn has been sympathetically converted to retain plenty of original charm.

Situated on a working farm of cattle and horses, this semi-detached property is surrounded by 130 acres of land and is perfectly positioned to enjoy the delights Dorset has to offer. Approached via a farm lane and overlooking the working farm, guests are welcome to roam the land and see the animals. While away the hours exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside dotted with small picturesque villages. This part of Dorset is famed for the stunning Jurassic Coast, which is a Natural World Heritage Site and can easily be joined from the cottage in under two miles. The surrounding coastline offers breath-taking scenery, cliff-top walks and fossil-rich beaches and provides excellent conditions for diving, canoeing/kayaking, windsurfing/kite surfing, fishing and sailing, with the 2012 Olympic sailing venue in Portland. Discover the wealth of places to visit including Weymouth with its seafront, beaches, harbour, Abbotsbury Swannery, Lulworth Cove and Castle, Durdle Door and much more.

Spacious and bright, this property boasts an attractive high ceiling in the living area, exposed beams and ceiling trusses, wooden flooring and exposed stonework. Prepare delicious meals in the open-plan kitchen area, which contains an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. Enjoy meals around the dining table nearby, which overlooks the patio through French doors, before retreating to the cosy lounge area to make the most of the TV/DVD. Also on the ground floor is a light and airy twin bedroom as well as a modern shower room. An exposed staircase leads up to a galleried level and a charming double bedroom, which has sloping ceilings and Velux windows.

Heading outside, there is an enclosed garden which has a patio area with garden furniture, a BBQ and lawn area, perfect for long sunny afternoons dining al fresco.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely well equipped cottage in a quiet & pleasant location. Lots to see & do in the surrounding area. Great to have an enclosed garden for the dog, while still being able to watch the horses going by each day. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Lovely well equipped barn conversion situated literally in the middle of a farm. Lots of stables and horses to see on a daily basis. If you love the countryside & wildlife it's heaven. Only a short drive to plenty of places to enjoy from the coastal path to historic houses.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The cottage was spotlessly clean on arrival. Little touches such as coffee pods, tea, sugar and personal note from owners really added value to our experience. The cottage is ideally located within 15 minutes drive to Weymouth and other local attractions. Our 3 year old loved the farm within which the cottage was located Read morein. A well appointed and comfortable cottage located on a working farm with livery stables. Perfect for a dog-friendly break or for exploring the beautiful Dorset coastline. Lovely comfortable cottage with a fully equipped kitchen for a self catering holiday. Large TV with lots of channels and free WiFi. Fully enclosed garden for the dog was a bonus too. Great location for traveling around the Dorset coastline. Highly recommended. Some lovely places to see.

A lovely, cosy, well equipped cottage in a very quiet rural location. We are wary of places with storage heaters but these had boosters so we could increase heat as required as it was quite chilly on our visit despite it being in May! The wifi which is not mentioned on the website was very good . It was a pity that the pond and garden to the rear oRead moref the cottage was private and not accessible as the impression from the website photo is that it is. We would certainly stay here again. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. So relaxing and convenient for us to get to the places of interest that we wished to go to. Loved the Elm Tree Pub, great food and staff. The owner of this accommodation was cheerful and great to chat to. Even the neighbors and those that had horses stabled here were cheerful and waved to us. The cottage was very nice & comfortable with everything we needed, nice & quiet on a working farm. Lots of walks for the dog. The only problem we had was the amount of flys so we couldnt have the door open, but I suppose you should expect that on a farm

Ideal holiday if you want a rural location on a farm. Lovely to see the horses go by every day when they were taken to the field. Lovely to see stable girls when they took the horses to the field, making a fuss of them and not leaving them right away.

Bridge a Cottage was pleasant and well equipped. Its ideal if you dont mind driving, as the nearest pub - The Elms is a few miles away. It is about 4 miles from Weymouth and a taxi is about 12 each way to the harbour, where all the restaurants are. Most taxis take well behaved dogs, so that was good for us. We had fabulous weather, so were able to Read morehave a bbq in the garden and dry our beach towels on the line, as well as stock up on ice lollies in the freezer. A nice cottage in a quiet area. The owner who met us at the property was very pleasant and helpful. The next door neighbours were very nice. Close enough to Weymouth to be convenient and route takes you past good supermarket's .Weymouth has fantastic beach and good parking at the pavillion. A well presented small cottage situated on a farm. You will be woken by a cockerel and cows early, but for us that was part of the experience.
