The property is conveniently situated along the main village road in the heart of the small, friendly village of Cerne Abbas, home of the Cerne Abbas Giant hillside chalk figure. The village itself has plenty to offer, including three welcoming pubs, a traditional Dorset tearoom and a shop/Post Office. There is an extensive range of public footpaths and bridleways throughout the village, perfect for exploring this stunning pocket of countryside in the heart of central Dorset. Just seven miles away is the historic market town of Dorchester, while the Jurassic Coast and seaside resorts of Weymouth, Swanage and Lyme Regis are all within easy reach. Other attractions include Monkey World, The Tank Museum, Durdle Door, Lulworth Castle, Corfe Castle, Abbotsbury Swannery, the abbey town of Sherborne and much more.

Inside, this charming cottage has been sympathetically updated to offer fresh and bright accommodation with plenty of original features retained. Stepping through the front door takes you straight into the charming lounge, which is a cosy and welcoming room for relaxing after a long day. Here you will find an exposed brick fireplace with a wood burner, selection of books to choose from, TV/DVD and exposed beams. A step up from the lounge takes you into the light and airy kitchen/diner which overlooks the pretty cottage garden through French doors. The kitchen is well equipped and includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and there is ample room around the farmhouse table to enjoy casual meals. From the lounge, cottage style stairs lead up to the first floor where a double bedroom with exposed beams and a Victorian iron bed sits at the front of the property and a twin bedroom overlooks the garden at the rear of the cottage. The bedrooms share a bathroom on the first floor which has a handheld shower over the bath.

Step outside from the kitchen onto a pretty patio area with garden furniture for enjoying al fresco meals. From here, six steps lead up to an enclosed lawn area surrounded by mature trees and shrubs.

The cottage was charming, clean and comfortable. It is in a wonderful location for seeing different things in the area. We spent time in Dorchester - a superb museum (we just caught the last day of an exhibition of sculptures by Elisabeth Frink) - we went to Sherborne - beautiful Abbey, the Bennett's Water Gardens is beautiful. Very tidy and comfortable 2 bed cottage, plenty of on street parking space, Nice rear garden and patio for coffee and lunches. Very comfortable beds, nice village with 3 good pubs and a well stocked village postoffice stores. Good area for Walking and lots of places to visit within 45 minutes by car. Very little road traffic so quite quiet.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage. Well-equipped for a relaxing stay. Situated in a lovely village with 3 pubs and a very handy shop. The nearby brewery is worth visiting. Ideally located for exploring the area. The owner gave us lots of useful information and recommendations in our chat before our stay. Highly recommend this cottage.

Cerne Abbas is a great location, and Bramble Cottage the perfect holiday home, for exploring Dorset. The house is well equipped and comfortable with a delightful kitchen and secluded garden. Really nice , well kept, comfortable cottage with all the equipment you need. There was a welcome pack of coffee, tea, biscuits, and milk which was nice and I received a call from the owner beforehand to give me relevant details. Great location for the coastal areas of Lulworth, Durdle Door, Weymouth, Charmouth, and Poole. Recommend a visit to the Read moreCerne Abbas brewery. Bramble Cottage was the perfect base for our trip to Dorset. The cottage is beautiful and well equipped. Lots of little touches such as fresh flowers, proper coffee, Dorset tea and biscuits were a very welcome and unexpected addition and a great start to the week. We had a lovely weekend in Bramble cottage. Beautiful location with pubs and walks to the Cerne Abbas giant on the doorstep. The cottage was cosy and a great place to retreat from the wet weather! A perfect weekend stay. We will be sure to come back

We loved it here. The cottage is really comfortable with an excellent kitchen and everything you need for a relaxing time. There was a welcome basket of goodies which is a lovely touch and much appreciated. the beds are comfy, the house is snug.
