Bere Regis is found in the Purbeck region of South Dorset. The Isle of Purbeck is largely a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is found just south of Bere Regis as is the Jurassic Coast; both are easily reachable for a day trip.

There is no shortage of things to do while on a Bere Regis holiday, as you’ll be close to other popular tourist destinations including Weymouth, Poole and Bournemouth. The beaches are a big draw and are loved by locals and visitors alike. Bournemouth has a beach that stretches for miles and miles lined with restaurants and ice cream stands. Durdle Door beach is famed for its breath taking natural rock formations and is nearby Lulworth Cove, which is popular with families due to the calm waters found here. Bere Regis holidays offer plenty for fans of historic castles as well, with three of the finest being found in this part of Dorset. Corfe Castle dates back to the 11th century and stands tall above the village of Corfe and was demolished by Parliamentarians in 1645. Maiden Castle is a hill fort that was constructed during the Iron Age and is currently maintained by the English Heritage. With over 4,000 years of history Maiden Castle makes a fascinating day out. Portland Castle overlooks Portland Harbour and played a significant role in both of the World Wars with that story being told at the castle today.
